Medicare, Medicaid and Medi-Cal
These three organizations must be handled very differently.
Medicare: Medicare has reimbursed for the Pulsing Water Therapy using the Medicare Codes... E-0350 for the equipment and E-0352 for monthly disposables. However, even though our product is considered a Bowel Prosthetic Medical Device and Medicare... by law... must provide any prosthetic medical device to someone who has a dysfunctional internal organ... only the Judges with Medicare recognize that this is a bowel prosthetic medical device. Therefore, it requires appeals to reach the Judges.
Medicaid: Medicaid in most states has been very helpful in reimbursing for our product. The secret is getting an excellent letter and CMN from your Doctor... It is very helpful if you can include some of your medical expenses related to your bowel, i.e., hospital bills, doctor’s bills, etc.
Medi-Cal: We have one Medi-Cal Dealer and California that seems to have the secret of successful reimburse but with this state agency. To contact her please send an e-mail.
If you have one of these 3 different reimbursement sources... it is extremely import that you were through your Durable Medical Equipment Dealer to have them file for reimbursement for you. This can be the same company that provided you with your wheelchair.
If you have Private Insurance... you’re almost 100% guaranteed to receive your Pulsing Water Therapy Device through your dealer quite easily. After the year 2014 we do not know what ObamaCare will do regarding reimbursement. Therefore we recommend to you to contact your medical equipment dealer as soon as possible.
Thank you, Roy Abell
