That should be great news for you... if you are a Veteran.
In fact... they are setting up preparation for a Published VA Study on the use of the PIE*System for preparing disabled people for Colonoscopies... because the disabled cannot use the harsh, chemical laxative preparations that are standard.
If you feel you need a PIE*System please go to the Prosthetic Department of your VA Hospital and that is the correct department to order a system for you... because it is a Bowel Prosthetic Medical Device because it replaces the function of a permanently dysfunctional internal organ... your Colon. The first Prosthetic Medical Device was the Dialysis Machine because it replaced the function of a permanently dysfunctional internal organ... the Kidneys.
Therefore... the Prosthetic Department cannot deny you a Prosthetic!
Many of the VA Hospitals are even using the PIE*System internally throughout the Hospital for multiple uses. If they do not know of the PIE*System please direct them to this website... http://www.mybowel.com
Please tell them that the PIE*System is being used by many Veterans and Hospitals throughout the US. We have a Contract with the VA and I feel certain that your Local Equipment Dealer can supply also.
Good luck to you... and thank you for your Service to our Country.
